Todd Dexheimer is Live on Elevate

It was a pleasure to have Todd Dexheimer on the show to share his wealth of personal and professional wisdom. Todd is the CEO of Venture D Properties. He started investing in real estate in 2008, mainly in single-family homes and small multifamily assets. Todd’s background as a multifamily syndicator, investor, conference host, connector and family man made for an excellent show.

The theme of Todd and Tyler’s discussion centered on the benefits of pushing personal boundaries. A key takeaway was that, using fear as a calling card rather than a deterrent, can result in amazing experiences and outcomes. Todd discussed his love of life, exploring, trying new things and how he encourages his family to do the same:

Get out of your comfort zone. For instance, my kids, I try to make sure they're uncomfortable and push their boundaries. We go do things that get them a little nervous, a little scared. They're going to be staring from the top of a mountain looking down and we're going to ski down that thing. Are they ready for it? Maybe not a hundred percent, but we're going to do it. So just pushing that limit a little bit at a time and making sure they know it's OK.
