Tyler and Rod’s discussion focused on discovering the psychology necessary to push through limiting beliefs. Rod shared the mindset it took to lose $50 million in 2008, as well as the mindset to overcome debilitating fear and prosper:
There are people listening that have these fears or limiting beliefs, and I'm here to tell you that there's a reason belief systems, the acronym is BS, because most of them are BS. We have this experience that happened to us in our childhood that our brain, our juvenile mind has emotion attached to it and we believe it's factual when, 99.9% of the time, it's BS. And so what I would invite you, if you're listening and you have one of these limiting beliefs that you've been able to identify consciously, is anytime it rears its ugly head and you think about it, don't pass it over. Pull it out in the daylight, shine your adult rational mind on it and just look at it rationally and recognize that it's BS.
Their discussion provided numerous tips for optimizing your mindset, including setting a foundation of gratitude, honing your focus, writing down and visualizing your goals, morning routines and more.
