Rob Giltner is Live on Elevate!

It was great to welcome Rob Giltner to the show for a long-form edition of the show! Rob provided great insights on how to develop strong relationships, which are required to elevate yourself to a life without limits.

Rob was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. Early in life, he valued all types of relationships and the well-being of people. That value influenced him to pursue a masters degree in the psychotherapy field with an influence in systemic therapy. After graduating from Louisville Seminary, he worked a year in a substance abuse facility working with their intensive outpatient program before moving to private practice. In 2019, he moved practices to The Louisville Mindfulness Center, where his role can be therapist, educator, or coach. He uses these roles to create change, healing or growth. Using evidence-based practices, he uses strategic ways to incorporate the clients strengths along with therapeutic interventions.

Tyler and Rob’s discussion focused on mindfully valuing relationships to create stability in business and life. They went in-depth on building relationships through emotional intelligence, particularly mind mapping techniques to understand the perspective of others, mindsight and other research from renowned clinicians John Gottman and Dan Siegel. Rob also shared the proven benefits of mindfulness, how he’s helped people become the best versions of themselves in his practice and thoughts on empathy:

“Because we crave empathy, then we have to all be connected. When we’re all connected and seeing ourselves as connected, then we’re more likely to be empathetic and have more understanding. Then we build resiliency as individuals, but also as a community.”

Other mindfulness topics included how Rob creates a retainer to separate work life from home life, positive and negative trances, implementing fun, competition, being present, observing your mind, visualizing your future self and much more! This is episode is filled with numerous evidence-based nuggets of wisdom that Elevate Nation can apply in their personal and professional relationships.
